The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks in a residential setting. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Conduct inspections of buildings and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems effectively. Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or upgrades using welding techniques. Supervise maintenance staff during projects and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Operate diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter to assess electrical systems. Carry out residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality of properties. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to mechanical systems. Experience in welding and fabrication of parts is highly desirable. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a small team effectively. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and attention to detail is essential.
