Job Description

The Machine maintenance technician reconfigures mail processing machinery for each new production run. Also conducts scheduled machine maintenance and unscheduled repairs to mail processing machinery. Machine Maintenance Technician is NOT focused on building maintenance. Instead, the Maintenance Technician is constantly engaged in adjusting and changes to industrial machinery. These adjustments are made to gears, chains, bushings, AC motors, DC motors, motor controllers and machine timing.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for machine repairs, installations, and modifications Adjust timing cams and other mechanical features on chain-driven equipment to prepare mail processing machines for production and to provide maintenance in support of production throughout the shift. Maintain electrical wiring from switch box or breaker to equipment. Diagnose electrical problems down to board level.
Requirements:
1+ years of Electrical experience (Preferred) 1+ years of Machinery Repair experience (Required) Always remain safety conscious and employ safe work practices. Be able to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a fast-paced environment to minimize machine downtime. Demonstrate familiarity with electrical systems and electronic testing equipment. Demonstrate skill in troubleshooting motors, switches, and control systems. Initiate maintenance actions. Work with minimal supervision individually and as part of a team Be eager to learn and to accept responsibility. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Have reliable transportation. Be able to work in excess of 8 hours per day when required, and to work on weekends when required.
