Job Description

Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Summary Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. Works closely with production to minimize downtime, support capital projects, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, machining centers, furnaces, and combustion equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC-controlled systems to reduce downtime. Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and available resources. Plan, prioritize, and track maintenance work using internal and external scheduling methods. Support capital projects through planning, budgeting assistance, and contractor coordination. Oversee building and facility maintenance to maintain safe operations. Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and apply lean maintenance principles. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, confined spaces, fall protection, and PPE. Maintain basic maintenance documentation and reports using Microsoft Office. Qualifications 2-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and machining equipment. Basic understanding of electrical systems, automation, drives, and PLCs. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and lean principles. Ability to work independently and within a small team. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Electrical or welding experience. Exposure to TPM or structured maintenance programs. Project coordination or capital planning experience. Work Environment & Schedule Clean, well-lit manufacturing facility. 2nd shift, four 10‑hour shifts per week with overtime typically available on Fridays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
