Plant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting packaging equipment in conformance to specifications, safety, sanitation, and quality requirements. Requirements for the position include : Plant maintenance experience or equivalent technical training. Strong electrical experience along with hydraulics and pneumatics. PLC experience is a plus. Must have math and mechanical aptitude. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to speak, read and write English Must possess High School diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Must have full range of motion and be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to tolerate allergen exposure to milk, cocoa and egg proteins. Must be able to stand or walk for 80% of the workday. Must have full range of motion and be able to bend, squat, climb and lift Potential/Existing Hazards Heat Steam Chemical (CIP compounds including Caustics, acids and chlorinated cleaners, ammonia) Natural Gas Compressed Air Electricity Flexibility to work day and evening hours including weekends is required. In return, Prairie Farms; will offer: Competitive compensation $33.90 to $34.40hr. $1.00 shift premium from 6 PM to 6 AM.
