Job Description
Become a key player in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our production facility. This position calls for a seasoned professional with comprehensive skills in mechanical and electrical systems, eager to thrive in a high-speed, dynamic manufacturing atmosphere. In this role, you will be tasked with the installation, diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of industrial equipment and plant systems, playing a crucial part in minimizing operational downtime and enhancing productivity.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine, corrective, and immediate maintenance on various systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and compressed air. Analyze and repair machinery such as CNC machines, PLCs, VFDs, and automated production lines. Utilize diagnostic equipment and feedback from team members to inspect and address equipment malfunctions. Disassemble machinery using technical diagrams to repair defective parts, then carefully reassemble. Work on the installation and repair of electrical systems, including transformers and electronic controls. Oversee the maintenance of power distribution, plumbing, lighting, and building infrastructure. Perform equipment alignment and calibration, ensuring adherence to manufacturer standards. Employ and maintain an array of tools and diagnostic equipment, including precision measurement tools. Use machine shop equipment for fabricating or repairing components and tools. Safely operate cutting and welding technology while adhering to safety protocols. Accurately document maintenance tasks, manage work orders, and log parts usage in a CMMS system. Address equipment failures swiftly to reduce downtime. Conduct minor facility and grounds repairs, and participate in seasonal maintenance activities like snow removal. Coordinate with external contractors, ensuring projects are executed safely and within set standards. Travel between multiple sites to support maintenance initiatives and training. Uphold cleanliness and organization according to 5S standards. Engage in safety initiatives, strictly following practices such as LOTO and OSHA regulations.Skills and Requirements:
Robust background in mechanical and electrical disciplines, including HVAC and control systems. Proficiency with low voltage and AC/DC systems. Skilled in troubleshooting CNC, PLC, VFD, and automated machinery. Awareness of the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Familiarity with robotics and basic programming a plus. Competence in using diagnostic and fabrication tools. Deep understanding of safety regulations and a proactive approach to safety practices.Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED is a must. An associate degree in industrial maintenance or similar preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training strongly favored.Certifications:
Capability to acquire internal certifications for operating material handling equipment. Eligibility for the EPA 608 certification for HVAC refrigerant handling.Work Conditions:
Exposure to a robust manufacturing environment and industrial machinery. Use of PPE and compliance with all safety standards required.
