Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

Perform maintenance on all plant equipment including preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair work as needed. Answer all pages/calls during shift, repair all break downs to get machinery back up and running as soon as possible. The position has shared responsibilities in maintaining the Companies SQF food safety and food quality system, complying with any applicable food regulations, and striving for continuous improvements in all areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance Able to work overtime as needed Able to work holidays as needed Will be on call designated weekends Maintain, install, diagnose, and repair equipment in and around the plant Welding, plumbing, painting, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, and electrical Work with electricians as needed Work on Preventative and Planned Maintenance work orders efficiently Communicate any maintenance difficulties that may require additional problem solving Be watchful for facility security concerns and communicate to proper personnel Adhere to all safety procedures, rules and regulations while performing scheduled shift duties Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures
• Self-starter with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Computer literate
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs

Pay:

From $30.00 per hour

Experience:

Industrial Maintenance in food processing: 2 years (Preferred) Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred)
