Pool Service Technician

Backyard Paradise is looking for a skilled and reliable Pool Service Technician to join our team. This role includes pool cleaning, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and assisting with liner installations. We work on residential pools throughout Central Iowa and pride ourselves on quality, honesty, and doing the job right the first time. Responsibilities Perform weekly and bi‑weekly pool service : vacuuming, brushing, skimming, water testing, and chemical balancing Diagnose and complete equipment repairs (pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, automation, etc.) Install and replace vinyl liners (assist with draining, prep, setting, and finishing) Complete pool openings and closings for the season Troubleshoot leaks, circulation issues, and equipment failures Maintain accurate service notes and communicate clearly with customers Assist with general pool maintenance , cleanup, and small repairs Operate small equipment when needed (shop vacs, sump pumps, hand tools, etc.) Requirements Experience in pool service, maintenance, or construction preferred Ability to diagnose basic equipment issues Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes Professional, respectful communication with customers Schedule & Pay Full‑time or seasonal Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Opportunities for overtime during peak season

Pay:

$24.24 - $29.19 per hour
