Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description Join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for the installation and maintenance of proprietary equipment, including various molding machines and packaging systems. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of machines through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, while also providing training and assistance to team members. Responsibilities Perform installation and maintenance of proprietary equipment, such as Extrusion Blow Molding machines, Stretch Blow Molding machines, Injection Molding machines, packaging systems, and automated palletizers. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair molding machines independently to minimize downtime. Provide mechanical and electrical layout and modifications as needed. Offer training and assistance to colleagues to enhance team performance. Essential Skills 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience OR an Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance. 1+ year of troubleshooting experience. Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in maintenance technician roles with skills in troubleshooting, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial maintenance. Work Environment Work in a highly regulated, temperature-controlled, and clean environment where safety is paramount. This non-union environment emphasizes flexibility and teamwork, with a rotating 3rd shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Initial training occurs during day shifts (Monday-Friday) for up to 6 months before transitioning to night shifts. Dress code includes steel toe boots, hair net/beard net, jeans, and a t-shirt. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
