Industrial & Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Industrial & Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and optimization of industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient operations across production, mechanical, and utility systems. Responsibilities Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial and mechanical equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Maintain equipment such as motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and production machinery Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance documentation Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations Coordinate with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to support operational needs Qualifications Proven experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance (3+ years) Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, belts, chains, shafts, and drives Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting experience preferred Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics Work Environment Industrial or manufacturing facilities May involve rotating shifts, weekends, or on-call work depending on operational needs Exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, and industrial equipment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
