Maintenance Mechanic

Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Entry Level - 2+ Years Experience) Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has at least two years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience and is eager to continue developing their skills. You'll support daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help keep our facility running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs to minimize downtime Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure points Assist with installation, setup, and testing of new equipment Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation Follow safety procedures and support a clean, organized work environment Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to complete maintenance tasks Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability and efficiency Qualifications Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and hand/power tools Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
