Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job description Summary Responsible for maintenance operations; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to commercial facility maintenance in a warehouse setting; provides technical assistance to the maintenance and operations staff. Performs multiple tasks and other duties as required. Responsibilities Provide Services in General Repairs, Electrical, Mechanical Repairs, and Refrigeration. Monitor, control and maintain supplies and equipment, order supplies and tools, as necessary. Understand and adhere to basic safety protocols and policies. Execute work orders in a safe and efficient manner. Observe, report, and prevent safety hazards and violations to management. Always maintain a clean and safe work environment. This role routinely works in cooler and freezer temperatures as well as outdoor work. Work is often performed in areas where hearing protection and other basic Personal Protective Equipment is required. Work would include travel as it covers 2-3 locations all in Iowa. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience. One year of prior maintenance related experience. Valid Driver's License Preferred Experience Two years of experience or related field experience in refrigeration and industrial maintenance repair.
