Job Description

Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is seeking an Maintenance Technician for a local manufacturing company. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, and systems across the facility. They ensure that all operations are functioning smoothly and safely. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify signs of wear or malfunction. Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and adjusting equipment to ensure longevity. Replace or repair parts as necessary to keep equipment in good working condition.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery or systems. Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to fix or replace faulty components. Respond to emergency breakdowns and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Installation:
and or relocation of production equipment. Assist with the installation of new equipment, systems, or machinery. Set up and calibrate new systems to meet operational requirements. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacement. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
Physical mobility to perform various tasks, including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely in a production environment with moving mechanical parts. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Must be organized, eager to learn, have a teamwork mentality and a drive to produce quality work. Have attention to details within a fast-paced work environment. Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting 2-5 years Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Maintenance Technician Details:
Monday-Thursday (Day shift 5:30am-4:00pm) Temp-to-Hire opportunity Benefits plan available after probationary period Starting pay rate: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr DOE Weekly payroll cycle, every Friday for last weeks hours
