PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The Concrete Plant Maintenance employee is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all plant systems and equipment. Including, but not limited to the concrete drum, water systems, air systems, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electric motors, pulleys, shafts and bearings. A general knowledge of single and three phase electrical and basic welding and fabricating skills.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Experience with different types of concrete plants, both central mix and dry mix plants Communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and follow directions on repairs of the plants and yard equipment Able to budget, forecast, and schedule maintenance and repair items. Able to effectively assign job duties and supervise personnel Effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor. Operate equipment safely in accordance to operation procedure Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. Must be able to read, write and speak English Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Able to multi task dependent on priorities.
