Overview
Timberline Helicopters is expanding its fixed-wing maintenance operations to include Beechcraft King Air phase inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and AOG support. We are hiring experienced King Air Maintenance Technicians with strong Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 experience to support this growing program in Sandpoint, Idaho.
This role will support King Air aircraft through inspection, maintenance, discrepancy correction, engine-related troubleshooting, return-to-service activities, and occasional off-site AOG support. Work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and Timberline's quality standards.
What You'll Do
Perform King Air scheduled maintenance, including phase inspections, routine inspections, discrepancy correction, and return-to-service work
Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, propeller, fuel, hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, environmental, and electrical systems
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting related to Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines
Support AOG maintenance events as needed, including off-site troubleshooting and repairs
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, ADs, and other approved technical data
Complete work orders, inspection records, maintenance entries, and return-to-service documentation accurately and professionally
Coordinate with Quality, Inspection, Parts, and Maintenance leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Job Requirements:
3 to 5 years of King Air maintenance experience preferred
Hands-on experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engines strongly preferred
Experience performing King Air phase inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and discrepancy correction
A&P license preferred
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, service bulletins, and FAA-approved data
Strong troubleshooting ability with a focus on safe, compliant maintenance practices
Ability to work effectively in a production maintenance environment with inspections, hold points, and documentation requirements
Willingness to support AOG maintenance as needed
Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior King Air 90, 100, 200, 300, or 350 series maintenance experience
Pratt & Whitney PT6 hot section, borescope, engine rigging, or troubleshooting experience
Experience with phase inspections and high-utilization aircraft maintenance programs
Familiarity with maintenance tracking software such as Corridor or similar systems
Experience supporting AOG or field maintenance events
Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 repair station requirements
