MAINTENANCE MECHANIC OPENINGS IN ADDISON IL, LOOKING FOR MULTI-CRAFT LEVEL TECHS OUT OF A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. PAYS

7am-3pm Monday-Friday 2nd
Shift:
3pm-11pm Monday-Friday (5% Shift Differential) 3rd
Shift:
11pm-7am Monday-Friday (10% Shift Differential)

Maintenance Technician Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to maintain production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical production equipment and electrical systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they impact production. Weld, fabricate, and repair machinery components as needed. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Read and interpret equipment manuals, procedures, and technical documentation. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience using power tools for welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read equipment manuals and complete documentation in English. Must possess and maintain a personal set of tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
Experience in the packaging manufacturing industry. Experience working with roll-fed equipment and extrusion processes. #IND2
