AM Hourly Rate:
$29.00 an hour + $.50 shift differential This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance across all manufacturing operations. The role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment issues, as well as maintaining overall plant systems and machinery. This position ensures compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Replace, repair, adjust, and modify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. Maintain and repair conveyor systems, production machinery, and plant equipment. Monitor assigned production lines and troubleshoot equipment issues proactively. Test parts, assemblies, and systems to ensure proper operation; make adjustments and document modifications. Identify, document, and initiate corrective actions to prevent food safety, quality, or safety nonconformities. Assist production operators with equipment setup and respond to support requests from warehouse, processing, and packaging lines. Read, interpret, and update technical drawings and specifications; utilize manufacturer manuals for equipment servicing and installation. Support outside contractors and specialists with repairs, installations, and system modifications as directed. Conduct shift pass-down communication with outgoing and incoming technicians to ensure continuity of operations. Order parts, tools, and equipment as needed and complete purchase requisitions to maintain inventory levels. Inspect work areas and perform proper cleanup according to approved procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies. Complete required documentation and data entry at the end of each shift; secure tools and equipment. Follow all plant safety, food safety, and corporate policies and procedures. Understand and follow time-sensitive escalation procedures. Create, manage, and close work orders while maintaining accurate records in SAP. Control inventory and submit requisitions using the SAP system. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills & Experience High School diploma or GED required, along with at least two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year technical degree. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Mechanical systems: drive trains, belts, pulleys, sprockets, and chains.
Electrical systems:
110V single-phase and 230V/480V three-phase systems. PLC operation and basic troubleshooting. Motor controls and system diagnostics. Fabrication, including welding, grinding, and assembly. Hydraulic systems including motors, pumps, and valves. Pneumatic systems including air valves and controls.

- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

- Willingness to train and be trained, including participation in ongoing education and development.
