You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff and streamlining shop operations to drive efficiency and safety across our logistics network. Responsibilities Coordinate daily shop workflows and prioritize repair tasks to maximize fleet uptime. Oversee the procurement of parts and manage purchase order tracking to maintain inventory readiness. Diagnose and resolve intricate electrical and mechanical failures in tractors and trailers using advanced software. Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and conduct thorough DOT inspections to ensure full regulatory compliance. Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and uphold high standards of shop productivity. Utilize diagnostic tools such as JPRO and OEM software to provide accurate, data-driven repair solutions. Maintain a safe, organized workspace while ensuring all team members adhere to rigorous safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Valid driver's license with a clean record. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty diesel maintenance. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and Windows-based repair software. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks in various positions. Strong problem-solving capabilities and clear communication skills for team coordination. Preferred Skills Possession of or ability to obtain a Class B commercial driver's license. Active ASE certifications or a commitment to pursuing them with company support. Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity within a shop environment. Technical degree in diesel technology or related mechanical field.
