Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL, 60409. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our facility operates smoothly and efficiently. If you have a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for hands-on work, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and procedures. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed. Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Electrical and Mechanical skills. 480v, 3 phase motors, hydraulic and pneumatic, plc troubleshooting, ladder logic, Fabrication, stick welding. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical and Mechanical Systems Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Electrical Troubleshooting Electrical Repair Pneumatics Troubleshooting Hydraulic Systems & Components Electrical Schematic Reading Equipment Installation & Wiring Machines & technologies you'll use: Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley, Siemens) Conveyor Systems
