MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Maintenance Technician will support key processes and projects in the Camfil facility. Position is responsible for assistance in all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company's facilities and equipment to ensure they are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure manufacturing and facility equipment are running safely and efficiently Trouble shoot, repair, and maintain machinery and facilities Perform routine scheduled maintenance for the machinery and facility Ability to repair or replace electric components such as photo eyes, contactors, proximity sensors, motors, push buttons, etc. Ability to run conduit and connect equipment to power source Ability to modify and fabricate various fixtures, equipment, racks, and machinery as needed Assist with facility planning and equipment installations Work with equipment such as welders, grinders, drill presses, metal working equipment, hand tools, and power tools Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access and repair Inspect and measure machine parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems Maintain plant 6S standards Adaptable to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Assist in the start-up of equipment, to include updating safety documentation, technical documentation and updating / coordinating the training of employees Engage in continuous improvement activities Communicate regularly with the plant management, process engineers, and other plants, sharing combined knowledge and information Responsible for investigating reliability issues and performing root cause analysis on significant failures MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous manufacturing experience, preferred One year certificate from college or technical school preferred, or 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to become certified as a forklift operator (training will be provided) Lean manufacturing experience a plus Network and computer knowledge a plus Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Solid math skills Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret and, as necessary, generate engineering layouts, schematics, and flowcharts a plus Must be able to lift heavy items, following proper safety protocols Must be able to work as a team WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. EEO STATEMENT
