Full Job Description Purpose:
Perform duties to install, maintain, and repair a complex range of production equipment, systems, and machines including building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Electrical License preferred or must obtain within 24 months of hire Required Safety Certifications (upon hire): o Arc Flash Training o Working Walking Surface Training o Fall Protection Training o MEWP Training o Forklift driver (Jeep) certification.
  • Willingness to participate in trade related training courses / programs that may involve attending trade school or Junior college courses in assigned related fields.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience, including millwright-level mechanical work.
  • Minimum of 1 year of basic building and/or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, including understanding, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and application of proper electrical wiring methods and techniques.
  • Proficiency in welding.
  • Ability to apply advanced trade mathematics and interpret complex technical drawings, prints, and manuals.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring and alignment tools, including micrometers, calipers, precision levels, and laser alignment equipment.
  • Solid understanding of machinery moving principles, including the safe use of dollies, hoists, slings, pry bars, air bags, and hydraulic power packs; requires careful planning and a safety-first mindset at all times.
Physical Requirements:
  • The role requires frequent lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 45 pounds, as well as pushing and pulling tasks within established safety limits. These physical demands are essential functions of the position and are performed regularly throughout the workday.
  • The position operates in a manufacturing and maintenance environment and may involve exposure to oil, grease, noise, temperature variations, water, and industrial fluids. Duties may include repair, maintenance, and cleanup of plumbing systems. Work may be performed in wet conditions and confined or awkward spaces. Required personal protective equipment must be worn.
  • The role requires regular standing and walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Tasks may require working in awkward positions to access equipment and systems.
  • Continuous mental and visual attention required to make repairs, involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity.
Competency Requirements:
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Demonstrates reliability and ownership of assigned work by consistently completing maintenance tasks accurately, thoroughly, and on time. Follows through on commitments, responds promptly to urgent maintenance needs, and accepts responsibility for work quality, equipment condition, and outcomes.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and inspections with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Carefully follows procedures, specifications, and technical documentation to identify potential issues, prevent errors, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing skill development by actively learning new equipment, systems, tools, and technologies. Seeks feedback, participates in required training and certifications, and applies newly learned knowledge to improve maintenance practices and job performance.
  • Works collaboratively with maintenance team members, operations, and other departments to diagnose issues, coordinate repairs, and meet production goals.
Communicates respectfully, supports team objectives, and contributes to a cooperative and solution-focused work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Repair production and plant equipment, tear down, determine extent of repairs, replace worn or defective parts, reassemble, and make operating adjustments. 2.
Maintain building and facilities:
perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet metal, and air piping work necessary to make repairs. 3. Keep records using current PM software and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. 4. Fabricate items such as equipment guards and supports. 5. Perform scheduled maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. demand and planned). 6. Order supplies and materials as necessary. Organize and maintain spare parts inventory 7. Assist with replacement or installation of facility equipment working with outside contractors. 8. Install and relocate manufacturing equipment. 9. Prepare for machine installations and or removal. 10. Clean and replace motors and pumps, install power lines, troubleshoot, and repair electric or electronic controls and lighting circuits. 11. Assist with facility technician responsibilities as needed. 12. Use precision measuring instruments, electrical meters, hand and hand power tools, machine tools, pipefitting equipment, welding and burning equipment, fork lift truck, backpackers, and hoists.

$31.00 - $39.00 per hour
