Job Description

Part-Time Groundskeeper - Forge at the Lake (Granite City, IL) $22-$25/hr (based on experience)
Additional Compensation Available:
Candidates holding Illinois HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or other skilled trade certifications may qualify for higher compensation based on experience and certifications. Job Description Broadview Communities is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper / Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the appearance, safety, and overall condition of our manufactured housing communities. The ideal candidate will have experience with landscaping, zero-turn mower operation, apartment maintenance, manufactured housing communities, or general property maintenance. Candidates with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, renovation, or service work order experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Operate zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and other landscaping equipment. Perform mowing, edging, trimming, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance. Remove trash, debris, and bulk items throughout the community. Assist with home cleanouts, turnovers, and make-ready projects. Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drain clogs, and minor leaks. Complete basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and breakers. Assist with HVAC preventative maintenance, filter changes, and basic troubleshooting. Repair skirting, steps, doors, windows, decks, and exterior home components. Complete resident service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner. Assist with mobile home setup, rehabs, punch-list items, and property improvement projects. Identify and report safety hazards, utility issues, and community concerns. Maintain tools, equipment, company vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Represent Broadview Communities professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers. Previous experience in groundskeeping, apartment maintenance, construction, property maintenance, or manufactured housing communities preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance practices. Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently. Preferred Qualifications Additional compensation may be available for candidates with: Apartment maintenance experience Manufactured housing community experience
EPA HVAC
