Can you turn a stack of work orders into a precise weekly schedule that uses 100% of available technician hours? Do you enjoy balancing parts, tools, and labor to deliver safe, efficient, proactive maintenance? Are you the person who keeps a Ready Backlog at 80% or higher while partnering closely with Production?
Your impact Scope non-emergency work:
inspect job sites, clarify deliverables, and define requirements. Estimate labor hours and required skill sets; identify materials, parts, equipment, and special tools.
Source and verify technical information:
drawings, schematics, specifications, spare parts lists (from equipment histories), OEM manuals, and Knowledgebase references. Confirm part availability before scheduling; arrange special tools and auxiliary equipment. What you'll own weekly Facilitate planning and scheduling meetings with Production to set priorities, share status, and realign planned maintenance when needed. Maintain an organized backlog and keep the Ready Backlog at or above 80%. Publish a Weekly Technician Schedule that fully loads 100% of available technician labor hours across priority planned and PM tasks. Strengthen planning and scheduling through reviews and maintenance metrics. Keep accurate records and files for analysis and reporting. Train employees on CMMS usage and uphold system integrity and adoption. Qualifications Associate Degree (technical) with 1-3 years in maintenance planning/scheduling; or 5-10 years as a machine repair technician; or equivalent experience mix. Industrial manufacturing familiarity with electrical/mechanical aptitude. Proficiency with computers, CMMS, and Microsoft Office. Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; relationship-building ability. Preferred extras Leadership development interest. Experience creating job plans, scheduling work, and supporting execution. Project management and capital project experience. CMRP, Green Belt, and/or STS certifications. Climbing and balancing at heights (ladders/lifts) and working in confined spaces (stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling). Regular talking/hearing; occasional sitting. Occasional lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds. Regular need for close and color vision. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather and risk of electrical shock.
