Job Summary:
Support injection molding operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and repairing robotic and automated manufacturing equipment. Responsible for ensuring robots, automation systems, vision systems, and related equipment operate safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robots and associated automation equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on robots, EOAT, conveyors, vision systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
  • Support robot programming modifications, backups, and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
  • Assist with installations, startups, and automation improvements.
  • Support mold changes and production startup activities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders.
  • Follow all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and/or
Competencies:
  • Experience with FANUC robots preferred.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of industrial sensors, servo systems, and machine controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Injection molding experience preferred.
  • Familiar with programming languages i.
e. G-Code, Python, Java, Pascal or similar. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or equivalent experience in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or Industrial Maintenance preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
Physical Demands & Working Environment:
Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, noise, heat, dust, and industrial environments.
