Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

The Machine Maintenance Person is responsible for the upkeep, repair and maintenance of all production machinery in the plant along with the facility upkeep and maintenance. They will perform basic administrative and organizational tasks to ensure that all maintenance activities are seamlessly completed and that production is successful and that the building is in good, safe working condition

Maintenance Accountable to: Operations Manager Salary/Pay grade : Hourly Responsibilities/daily tasks: Maintaining and repairing all production machinery. Conducting regular inspections and ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility. Ensuring the proper working of all electrical units and systems in the facility. Keeping a record of all the day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in a facility and with all machinery. Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions. Working with the purchasing department with placing orders for spare parts and equipment needed for repairs.

Qualifications:

Must have excellent in depth mechanical skills. Must have experience with older models of CNC machines. Excellent organizational and administrative skills needed. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must work well with others, be an excellent team player. Technical school degree or extensive prior experience preferred. Extensive mechanical experience with heavy industrial manufacturing machinery, manual gear cutter, CNC, lathes, mills, etc. needed. Work Environment:

Primarily Office but some production floor, around CNC Machinery. Compensation will be competitive and will depend upon expertise and experience.
