Maintenance Technician

Description Schedule:

3rd Shift (11pm-7am)(Sunday night to Friday morning)

Pay:

Starting at $27.50/hr + $2.00 shift differential (Will train on 1st for 60-90 days) The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of automated production, packaging, and material‑handling equipment. This role supports a fast‑paced, highly automated logistics environment that includes robotics, conveyors, palletizers, and laser‑guided vehicles (AGVs). Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical production equipment. Diagnose malfunctions in automation systems, including robotics, AGVs, PLC‑controlled equipment, and motor drives. Maintain and repair equipment such as: Case sealers & erectors, Powered conveyors, Tray wrappers, flow wrappers, heat tunnels, Baggers, printers, weigh scales, Horizontal & vertical balers, Single & automated pallet wrappers, Robotic cells Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Use the CMMS system (UpKeep) to track PMs, work orders, repairs, and parts. Report equipment defects, damage, and safety concerns to supervisors. Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and report non‑compliance. Ability to read blueprints and schematics Operate forklifts as needed Skills Automation, high speed machinery, vertical bagger, conveyer, Mechanical, Robotics, Repair, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Hvac, Allen-bradley, Robot, Schematic, Electrical, Plc troubleshooting Top Skills Details Automation,high speed machinery,vertical bagger,conveyer,Mechanical,Robotics,Repair,Hydraulics,Pneumatics Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and lift for extended periods Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑shift industrial environment Strong communication skills and ability to manage time effectively Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elwood, IL.
