Founder Kent Shodeen serves as CEO, with second and third generations actively involved in daily operations. Position Summary The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property. This role ensures that all service requests are completed in a timely and professional manner, preventative maintenance is performed regularly, and the community remains in excellent condition for residents and prospects. Key Responsibilities Complete resident service requests efficiently and courteously Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances Maintain property grounds and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety Diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation Assist with inspections, including safety and compliance checks Maintain accurate records of work completed and inventory of supplies Follow all safety protocols and company policies Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property management Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry HVAC certification (EPA) preferred but not required Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and use ladders regularly Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Work Schedule Full-time position On-call rotation for emergencies Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Apartment Discount Company Vehicle Company cell phone and vehicle
