Dedicated to meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)—including downtime reduction, PM attainment, and script revisions—while maintaining a strict focus on safety protocols. Proven expertise in multi-disciplinary troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and control systems), root cause analysis, and the successful installation of new machinery. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Conduct comprehensive electrical risk assessments and define standardized electrical safety procedures. Install electrical conduits, cabling, and tubing. Provide technical support for both production equipment and plant utilities. Perform high-level corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. Test and troubleshoot critical components, including motors, drives, VFDs, sensors, valves, and relays, to identify and resolve system malfunctions. Read and interpret PLC ladder diagrams, electrical blueprints, and mechanical schematics to repair automated machinery and machine controls. Repair Electrical Machine Controls and Mechanical Automated Equipment by Reading and Analyzing Blueprints and Schematics. Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations to identify and eliminate the source of recurrent machine downtime and implement permanent solutions. Ensure all machinery is kept in peak operative condition to meet production demands. Support plant-wide initiatives and engineering projects aimed at optimizing operational efficiency. Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used within the maintenance management system. Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing system performance data. Maintain strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Work effectively both independently and as part of a team; follow complex verbal and written directives from supervisors. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, GMPs, and Food Defense. Report any observed food safety violations to your supervisor immediately.
Education and Qualifications Minimum Required:
Technical career, Electromechanical, Mechatronics. Certified Electrician / Credentials Trained in Industrial Electrical Safety 5 years of Machines and Maintenance Experience in Manufacturing. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Commercial/Industrial Electrical Installation Experience. Preferred Maintenance Certificate Bilingual English/Spanish Bachelor's Degree Manufacturing Background in Bakery or Food Industry. Physical Requirements Performing Work from different Heights. Able to frequently walk, stand, and navigate the manufacturing plant floor for extended periods. Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to observe processes at equipment level. Ability to climb stairs, lifts and ladders occasionally to access equipment for troubleshooting and repairs. Able to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish between different colors for Wiring Tasks. Responsible for Keeping the Machine in Operative Conditions Responsible for Supporting Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Projects. Responsible for Documenting Maintenance Performed Activities. Adhere and Follow Food Industry Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Education and Qualifications Minimum Required:
Technical career, Electromechanical, Mechatronics. 5 years of Machines and Maintenance Experience.
Preferred:
Maintenance Certificate Bachelor's Degree Physical Requirements Performing Work from different Heights Climbing Ladders, Scaffolding or Stairs Core Competencies Performing Electrical Risk Assessments. Assessing Electrical Processes and Procedures Installing and Maintaining Electrical Systems, Equipment and Devices. Installing Electrical Conduits, Cables & Tubing Repairing Wiring Systems. Testing Equipment (Motors, Drives, VFD's) and Components (Sensors, Valves, Relays). Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Knowledge of Safety Standards and Procedures. Commercial/Industrial Electrical Installation Experience. Experience in Electrical, Machine Controls and Mechanical field on Automated Equipment. Ability to Work Independently. Highly Collaborative. Able to read and Interpret Written Information.
