Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities in the Hoopeston, IL area. This role is responsible for completing resident work orders, preparing vacant units, performing general repairs, and helping maintain the overall appearance and condition of the properties. The ideal candidate is dependable, practical, and comfortable working independently across multiple nearby properties.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform general apartment repairs, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliances, carpentry, and basic HVAC troubleshooting Assist with unit turns and make-ready work Remove carpet and assist with flooring installation as needed Troubleshoot basic HVAC and water heater issues Maintain common areas, grounds, and exterior areas Communicate maintenance concerns and needed materials to management Travel between assigned properties as needed Participate in emergency maintenance coverage as needed Follow company safety standards and provide professional service to residents Requirements Qualified candidates should have: Prior maintenance experience Apartment maintenance experience preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC, water heaters, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic tools required EPA or HVAC certification preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) with company match up to 3% Paid time off accrual after 90 days Tool reimbursement up to $200 after 90 days Specialty tools available when needed Gas account provided for approved work-related travel
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
