$33•37/HR Company Overview We are a well-established food manufacturing company located in the Chicago Area, committed to producing safe, high-quality products. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment. This role requires strong electrical knowledge and fabrication experience in a food production environment or similar industrial setting. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment Support fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, drilling, and equipment modifications Troubleshoot PLCs, motors, controls, sensors, and VFDs as applicable Maintain compliance with food safety, GMP, and safety standards Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime Repair conveyors, packaging equipment, mixers, and processing machinery Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders Assist with facility maintenance as needed Qualifications 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, industrial preferred Proven fabrication skills including welding and metal fabrication Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, and control systems Experience working in GMP-regulated environments preferred Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs in a production environment Schedule Occasional overtime as needed Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Stable schedule with consistent first-shift hours Opportunity to grow within a stable food manufacturing operation If you are a Maintenance Technician with Food Manufacturing Experience, please send your resume to:
