Facility Maintenance Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems, and utilities.Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine facility maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building infrastructure while maintaining documentation related to GMP facility maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance reports. Make sure the facility remains clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Help with facility modifications, renovations, and new equipment installations. Be a member of the safety team, and be able to identify and report any facility-related deviations or non-conformances that may impact operations or compliance. Assist with audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and internal quality teams. Help to keep up an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies for facility-related activities. Provide training and guidance to team members on facility maintenance and GMP compliance best practices.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in facility maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs. Familiarity of GMP, FDA, and other regulatory compliance requirements in a manufacturing facility. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking facility maintenance activities. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. English proficient both verbal and written, bilingual a plus. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed. Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.Job Type:
