Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support CNC machining operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in maximizing machine uptime, improving reliability, and ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing operations. Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience maintaining CNC machining centers; experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar controls preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals. Experience using diagnostic and precision measuring tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining centers, including spindles, axis drives, tool changers, coolant systems, hydraulic components, and related equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Diagnose machine alarms and equipment failures using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools. Maintain facility support equipment such as compressors, pumps, coolant systems, and chip handling systems. Assist with machine installations, relocations, and equipment upgrades. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements and proper PPE usage. 2nd shift, DIRECT HIRE Pay is $35.00 - $40.00 hourly, willing to pay more based on experience If you have an open application with Matthews Professional Employment, Inc., please express your interest in this position to your consultant.
