Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in metal finishing machine repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Review any maintenance issues and small projects to be resolved to reduce downtime. Repair machine breakdown and return equipment to production. Preventative Maintenance, schedule with manager to ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors Participate in monthly and annual training regarding Curtis best practices as well as safety standards. Maintain shift records of daily responsibilities and tasks. Ensure smooth transition between shifts by communicating to the oncoming team what projects are complete, what projects are in-process, and what projects are new and need addressing. Provide your own toolbox and tools. Requirements Proven at least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and blueprint reading. Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and repairs. Experience with welding techniques preferred but not mandatory. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping and reaching above and below Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Understanding of industry sector safety and environmental standards Competence in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
