We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team at NanoChem Solutions, Inc. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of processing equipment and systems in our nutraceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with equipment such as mixing tanks, spray dryers, powder blenders, milling equipment, ovens, and other related machinery, along with a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on processing equipment, including but not limited to mixing tanks, spray dryers, powder blenders, milling equipment, and ovens, packaging lines and pouching machines. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime. Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, plumbing, and other facility systems supporting manufacturing operations. Calibrate and test equipment to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear and tear, leaks, or other potential issues. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.Facility Support:
Assist in the installation, relocation, or removal of machinery and equipment. Work closely with the production and quality teams to support operational efficiency and compliance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize operational disruptions.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including OSHA standards. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials.Collaboration and Training:
Provide training and guidance to operators and team members on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other departments to coordinate repairs, projects, or equipment upgrades.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food processing industries. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with industrial equipment such as mixing tanks, spray dryers, powder blenders, and milling machines. Strong understanding of GMP standards and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, and reaching.Work Environment:
Manufacturing facility environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and machinery. Requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety protocols, including the use of PPE. May involve occasional work during weekends or off-hours to address maintenance needs or emergencies.What We Offer:
