Job Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Inspect and identify equipment or machinery in need of repair
- Troubleshoot issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and building plans
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting and carpentry
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, including preventative maintenance
- Maintain and perform general upkeep on forklifts
- Support facility cleanliness and overall upkeep
- Assist with maintenance inventory and materials management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and training
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Prolonged standing and walking required
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, twisting, crouching, reaching, pulling, and pushing
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined or awkward spaces
- Use of hands to operate tools, equipment, and controls
- Ability to operate forklifts (certification required)
- Must be able to see details at varying distances
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and steel-toed boots
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, and testing equipment
- Work environment noise level ranges from moderate to loud
