Job Description

Job Summary D6 Inc. is a leading plastics thermoforming manufacturer specializing in the production of packaging for both food and non-food items. Our commitment to quality and innovation has positioned us as a trusted partner for businesses across a wide range of industries. We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing extrusion equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with extrusion machinery, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on extrusion machines, pelletizers, chillers, conveyors, and related equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate documentation of repairs and inspections. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate with production teams to support efficient operation of extrusion lines. Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and a clean, organized work area. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience (extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience strongly preferred). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls (PLC experience a plus).
