JOB OVERVIEW
O ur Maintenance Mechanic performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.
Job Duties:
Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production and overall facility equipment. Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks (as scheduled). Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Schedule and support outside contractor activity. Complete administrative tasks (pm tasks and purchase requisitions). Assist in maintaining plant security. Assist with plant self-safety and inspection audits. Comply with all OSHA required activities for power industrial equipment. Operate floor scrubber. Maintenance Mechanic•
Day Shift Weekend Requirements:
High School diploma/GED Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic Working knowledge of mechanics Ability to read blue prints and sketches Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time Familiar with vertical post mixers, air operated diaphragm pumps, centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, and 3 roll mills Pre-employment checks are mandatory if you are offered this position (Education, Employment, Background check and Drug Screen).
