Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Repair Technician to perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial recycling equipment. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring safe operation of all machinery throughout the facility. Will be working Monday through Friday, weekends when needed. Duties Perform daily inspections of machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Conduct preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests. Repair and maintain grinders, shredders, extruders, conveyors, cyclones, dust collection systems, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and bearings. Replace worn or damaged components. Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed. Maintain maintenance records and work orders. Assist with equipment installations and facility improvements. Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. Experience in plastics, recycling, manufacturing, or processing industries preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of electric motors, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes,welding, and fabrication. Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals. Forklift, scissor lift, and welding certifications are a plus. Physical Requirements Lift up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift. Work in industrial environments with dust, noise, and moving equipment.
