Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities and manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and reliability of our equipment, systems, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, including mechanical, electrical, and schematic knowledge, and demonstrate leadership in maintaining high standards of facilities maintenance. This position offers an engaging environment where proactive problem-solving and technical expertise are valued to support continuous operational excellence. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding repairs and fabrication tasks to support equipment modifications or repairs. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems and implementing control modifications. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain facility aesthetics. Supervise or mentor junior technicians or contractors during complex maintenance tasks. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment. Support manufacturing operations by ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and safely at all times. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments. Demonstrated proficiency with electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on welding experience with various materials and techniques. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation controls. Strong mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and preventive maintenance practices. Experience using CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking. Supervisory or leadership experience supervising maintenance teams or projects. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical testing. Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
