RESPONSIBILITIES

The Building Maintenance Technician performs the work necessary to construct, alter, and repair buildings, furnishings and equipment as assigned by the supervisor. Specific duties may involve roof repairs, window repair, furniture assembly and repair, and minor masonry work.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid Indiana Driver's License with a good driving record. General maintenance experience, knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, as well as having the ability to safely operate the tools associated with this type of work are requirements of this position. This position requires fundamental computer skills. This position takes place at various locations on our campus. The employee will be required to perform duties inside and outside and at times will be exposed to the elements in all types of weather. The employee must be able to tolerate the noise of power tools, be able to climb stairs, be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding, and must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
