Hotel Preventative Maintenance Engineer Hyatt Place Evansville Downtown Evansville, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work Maintenance Plumbing Welding Maintenance management Manufacturing Full Job Description Job Summary The Entry-Level Preventative Maintenance Engineer assists with maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. This position supports the maintenance team by performing routine inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks under supervision. Key Responsibilities Assist with preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems. Perform basic repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, painting, and minor carpentry. Help inspect HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems for proper operation. Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools. Complete work orders and report maintenance issues to supervisors. Follow safety procedures and hotel maintenance standards. Support emergency maintenance repairs when needed. Help move equipment, furniture, and supplies as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous maintenance, construction, custodial, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Willingness to learn hotel maintenance systems and procedures. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Preferred Skills Basic troubleshooting ability Attention to detail Time management Dependability Positive attitude and willingness to learn
