Position Overview We are seeking a Commercial Overhead Door Technician responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of a wide range of commercial systems, including: Sectional overhead doors Rolling steel doors High-speed doors Sliding doors and operable partitions Dock levelers and gate operators This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy mechanical work, problem-solving, and working in dynamic job site environments. What You'll Do Install, repair, and maintain commercial overhead door and dock systems Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and other equipment as needed Safely load, unload, and transport materials to job sites Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements Represent Lensing professionally at customer locations What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction trades Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime and occasional weekends Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to obtain required certifications within 60 days: OSHA 30 Certification ARSC Certification "For Hire" endorsement Preferred Experience Commercial overhead door installation or service experience ARC/MIG welding and metal fabrication PLC systems (ladder logic) Relay logic circuits and 3-phase 480V systems Even if you don't yet meet all the experience or qualifications, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and are happy to provide training.
