Job Title:
Overhead Door Technician Job Description The Overhead Door Technician is an integral part of our team, responsible for installing and servicing a variety of overhead door mechanics and systems, including sectional, rolling steel, high-speed, service and sliding doors, gate opening systems, operable partitions, and dock leveling systems. Comprehensive product-specific training will be provided to ensure familiarity with our product lines. Candidates must be prepared to work in various environments and weather conditions, with a willingness to commit to 40+ hours per week to support our expanding customer base. Responsibilities Install and service all types of overhead door mechanics and systems. Work in diverse environments and weather conditions, adhering to safety protocols. Represent the company professionally at customer job sites. Operate heavy equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts. Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components. Ensure job site safety in compliance with company and customer policies. Communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams. Analytical and troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical components. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to complete required training for access to manufacturing sites. Current or ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification. Current or ability to obtain ARSC certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial overhead door installation/service. ARC/MIG welding and metal fabrication experience. Understanding of PLC functions and relay logic circuits. Experience in training or leading other technicians. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license with a clean record and 'For Hire' endorsement or ability to obtain it. Must pass DOT physical and drug assessment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is field-based, involving both indoor and outdoor tasks across commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and construction sites. Expect a mix of physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and operating heavy equipment in all weather conditions. Standard field workwear and PPE are required. The role operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed based on project demands. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Evansville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00- $65520.
