As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety regulations, troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam equipment. The ideal candidate should be adaptable to changes in scheduling to support departmental requirements. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime. Follow preventative maintenance schedule. Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, work order, and inventory. Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed. Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency. Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements. Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles. Fabricate new equipment as necessary. Test functionality of facility safety systems.Requirements:
Ideal Qualifications:
5+ years of Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance. Experience with HMI, Boilers, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment. HVAC and electrical experience preferred. Food grade welding experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Computer literacy, including experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and automation systems.
