Job Description

job summary: Very reputable and growing organization located in Indianapolis is looking for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic-M-F, Day Shift. This is not a temporary position, it is a direct hire opportunity. This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan with an hourly rate up to $40/hr plus paid OT, 6% annual bonus, excellent benefits package including a 401k plan with a 7% match. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
location:
Indianapolis, Indiana job type: Permanent salary: $80,000
  • 90,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: Responsible for performing repairs and installations of pumps, pipes, storage and process tanks, forklifts and other equipment related to the waste water treatment processes and material handling across the plant.
  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Performs plant maintenance including general repair and replacement of pumps, valves, piping and hoses as needed, including basic pipefitting and pipe threading
  • Lubricates pumps, mixers, motors and other equipment, replacing grease fittings and oilers if needed
  • Diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds or replaces process pumps (centrifugal, air diaphragm, progressive cavity, rotary lobe etc.)
  • Maintains and refills urns, replaces insulation and steam tracing on pumps and lines as needed
  • Maintains responsbility for keeping operating areas, walls, pipes and floors in a clean and safe condition
Education:
  • HIgh school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
  • 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience OR
  • In lieu of experience, technical certifications or degrees may be considered
  • Previous experience with pump rebuilding and pipefitting
Competencies:
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to work in elevated and confined spaces
  • Ability to operate boom lifts, scissor-lifts, forklifts etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 1 year of experience
