Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Technician will see that all HVAF properties are repaired and maintained to a high standard and provide general maintenance of building. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and upkeep properties by completing tasks including, but not limited to, general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, painting, and other duties similar to a general handyman.
• General daily maintenance of office building.
• Maintain properties, grounds, and storage areas.
• Assist with donations pickups.
• Perform general janitorial duties at headquarters building and properties.
• Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience/Skills Required
• Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License and be eligible for HVAF auto insurance at all times during employment per insurance carrier's requirements.
• Must be able to complete a background screening with an acceptable outcome.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to establish and rearrange priorities to meet deadlines as assigned.
• Able to comprehend and utilize professional education materials.
• Must be able to lift (50 lbs.) and carry heavy objects such as furniture and be on your feet most of the day.
• Work is both inside and outside.
• Able to follow directions and utilize suggestions.
• Basic familiarity with hand / power tools and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a given task.
• Ability to use an iPad to track work orders and inspections.
