Job Description

Maintenance Technician Indianapolis, IN | $30 - $36 Per Hour A growing industrial manufacturer in Whitestown, Indiana is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running through preventive maintenance and timely repair of unplanned failures. This role centers on hydraulic and electrical systems in industrial machinery and offers a path to build a long-term career with the company. You will work alongside the maintenance team and report to the maintenance supervisor. Schedule Full-time, hourly. Shift assignment varies and may include day, evening, or night shifts depending on operational needs. Compensation $30 - $36 Per Hour, depends on experience. What You'll Do You will inspect, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems in industrial machinery, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to identify root causes and replacing or repairing components such as pumps, valves, and actuators. You will conduct preventive maintenance and routine safety checks on electrical systems within industrial equipment, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and install, upgrade, or replace electrical components and control systems. You will regularly inspect industrial machinery to identify potential issues before they cause downtime, and document and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. You will also provide reports on equipment performance and reliability and assist with other duties as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Four years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician focusing on hydraulics and electrical systems Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues Ability to read and interpret blueprints Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations Proficiency in basic math and good communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods Normal color vision and close, peripheral, and depth perception Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in maintenance technology or a related field Experience with PLCs or industrial control systems Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Specific benefit details to be confirmed with the employer To apply, submit your resume and a brief note about your hydraulic and electrical maintenance experience.
