Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the mechanical and electrical components of production equipment and systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting a clean, safe, and efficient production environment. Responsibilities Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical components of production equipment and systems, including linear baggers and related processing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous production. Perform preventive maintenance on production and processing equipment to extend equipment life and improve reliability. Work with high and low voltage electrical systems safely and effectively during maintenance and repair activities. Inspect, service, and repair gearboxes, servo motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Support maintenance and repair activities involving hydraulics and pneumatics as part of overall equipment upkeep. Perform basic welding tasks as needed to support maintenance and repair of production equipment. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and parts usage. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in electromechanical maintenance, including mechanical and electrical repair. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment. Attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in a climate-controlled, very clean production environment that follows strict GMP standards. The facility offers two primary shifts: a first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a second shift from Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Work is performed around production and processing equipment using mechanical, electrical, and PLC technologies, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and regulatory procedures.
