Job Description

Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various systems, including pneumatic and mechanical systems Utilize hand and power tools to effectively complete maintenance tasks and repairs Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Always ensure use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and tools designed and rated for the task, and complying with safety regulations Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or GED, relevant skills and proven work experience in lieu of education 1+ year(s) in a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance repair techniques Proficiency with common hand and power tools. Must provide own hand tools Must be able to thoroughly complete paperwork/documents Knowledge of pneumatic systems and advanced troubleshooting preferred Associate's degree in industrial maintenance is a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds with prolonged periods of standing Required to continuously stand, walk, squat, stoop, and bend Occasionally climbs ladders and scaffolding Must be able to use hand tools and power tools Works in noisy environment Will frequently work in hot or cold environments Potentially exposed to chemicals, dust, and smoke on a frequent basis
