Job Description
Maintenance Technician - Apartment Community We're seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a professionally managed apartment community. In this role, you'll work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to help maintain a clean, safe, and fully functional property for our residents. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys problem-solving, and values being part of a team.
What You'll Do:
Complete daily work orders, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs Support unit turns by patching drywall, painting, changing locks, installing light fixtures, and ensuring all appliances are functioning Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment and property systems Maintain the appearance of buildings and grounds, including basic landscaping and trash pickup Assist with snow removal, seasonal tasks, and property emergencies as needed Communicate with residents professionally while addressing service requests Report inventory needs and property issues to the Maintenance Supervisor Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergenciesWhat We're Looking For:
1-3 years of experience in apartment or facilities maintenance Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills EPA certification a plus (but not required) Pool operator license preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass a background check and drug screening Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Willing and able to participate in an on-call rotationPhysical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs Regularly required to walk the property, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach overhead Work in outdoor conditions, including hot, cold, or inclement weather Must be able to safely operate maintenance tools and equipmentWhat We Offer:
