Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment. You will repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other machinery at the facility, and maintain industrial control systems. You will also modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with defined processes. This role requires working independently and with team members to complete repairs safely and timely. Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Repair and maintain equipment, fixtures, systems, and conveyors. Modify, lubricate, and operate equipment according to defined processes. Maintain industrial control systems. Collaborate with team members to complete repairs safely and timely. Fill in for production operator as needed. Create and report repairs throughout the shift. Complete work order paperwork and document parts and material usage. Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and machine operation. Use Personal Protective Equipment where required. Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime. Essential Skills Automation Robotics HMI Electronics Calibration Schematic reading Blueprint interpretation Mechatronics PLC troubleshooting and control Mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems knowledge Preventive maintenance Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries. Experience with VFD, servo drives, and servo motors. Experience with rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler. Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing. Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment. HVAC knowledge including chillers and/or air compressors. Fabrication skills such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick). Electrical systems knowledge including 480VAC & 24VDC power. Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting. Experience managing people/projects for 6 years. Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effective communication skills and the ability to resolve issues across departments. Why Work Here?   • 6am) on a 2/2/3 schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00
